Islamic essays / S. M. Darsh
These articles were written at a different period of time. They were contributed either in conferences or in response to specific religious enquiries, or as part of the activities of the Islamic Cultural Centre.
The need to clarify an Islamic view point was the thread running through the topics discussed.
This collection can easily be divided into three categories i.e. religious, educational and social.
In the case of the religious ones I tried to keep to the main Islamic sources as much as I can, avoiding imposing a personal opinion, or taxing the text beyond the authentic explanation given it by the accepted Islamic authority.
On the other two aspects i.e. Social and Education-al, I drew greatly on my own personal experiences, in the cause of my acquantance with the activities of the Muslim communities and Organisations in the United Kingdom, trying to relate these experiences to the Islamic main stream of thought and accepted patterns of norm.
